Bill Lowen is on the board. He’s just hooked up with his first keeper of the day, a 3-pound class largemouth.
That’s sort of a bonus, considering he’s fishing an area he’s not utilized in the previous three days.
It’s the kind of start he needs. Four more like it, then he can settle down and work on a couple kickers or hope those kickers come and compliment that one.
But that’s all it is, a good start. He’s still behind. And there’s a lot of time left.
Big change for us this morning is the lack of wind. We had a breeze yesterday in this stifling heat, which made it bearable.
It’s dead calm now and most of us are already soaked through our clothes at 7:30 in the morning. And it’s just going to get hotter.
