It would be a shame if Carl Jocumsen didn’t make his check-in time today, especially with the 17 pounds he’s got, approximately. And fellow pro Mike McClelland has made sure Jocumsen will avoid disaster, according to photographer James Overstreet.
Jocumsen was headed back to check-in when he damaged his outboard motor prop to the point of needing some help. McClelland stopped to give him a ride. It’s a sign of good sportsmanship that occurs often on the Elite Series, but one that should never go unmentioned.
