Last in the Classic
Finishing last in a Bassmaster Classic is no disgrace. You might be surprised at some of the last-place finishers.
Classic XXVII show
Dion Hibdon's final day tally of 11 pounds, 12 ounces was enough to give him a 1-ounce victory over BASS Federation angler Dalton Bobo. Classic XXVII (27) was held Aug. 7-9, 1997, at Logan Martin Lake, Alabama.
Classic XXI show
The Classic was held Aug. 22-24, 1991on the Chesapeake Bay, in Maryland.
Curse of the Classic local
Baseball had the Curse of the Bambino and still has the Curse of the Billy Goat. In fishing, there's the Curse of the Bassmaster Classic Local Favorite.
Classic XX show
Rick Clunn of Montgomery, Texas, claimed his fourth Classic crown on Aug. 25, 1990, in James River, Virginia.
Classic XIX show
Hank Parker won the 19th annual Bassmaster Classic, held on the James River for the second consecutive year.

The 16th annual Bassmaster Classic was held Aug. 14-16, 1986, in Chickamauga, Tennessee.
